Message from the Secretary

We are happy to have our new face to the world as the new SICB web site launched a few months ago. This new site comes from the keyboard of our very talented webmaster Ruedi Birenheide. He had the herculean task of putting the new design and content together while responding to about 30 emails per week (sometimes per day) from me asking him to add one feature or another. Thank you, Ruedi.

The web site organization will provide a good context for just about anything SICB members require. Over the next few months we will continue to refine nearly all aspects of the web site. In the next phase we will begin populating the site with archival material so that SICB members can have access to important information from the past that can benefit the operation of the society. This will take time and we hope to engage an archivist to help with this project.

We hope members enjoy the changes and will participate in making the site better by contributing to some of the numerous divisional activities, including the researchers database. Photos from the each division's researchers database appears in the upper left panel on the SICB Home Page and changes each time the screen is refreshed. You can be famous! All you have to do is send your divisional secretary a photo and a brief description of your research.
