Broadening Participation Professional Development Travel Award Application
SICB Annual Meeting

Broadening Participation Professional Development Travel Awards are intended to help students, post-docs, and faculty members from underrepresented groups attend the SICB annual meeting by defraying travel, lodging, and registration costs. Up to $500 may be requested by individuals attending the meeting in Seattle. We seek to support returning SICB attendees as well as first-time SICB attendees.

Submit an application via this online form by October 24. Decisions will be made on or around November 17. Preference is given to applicants who are leading an oral or poster presentation; however, SICB attendees who are not presenting are also eligible for awards.

In case of technical difficulties, applications can also be e-mailed directly to the BP Committee chair at Chair.BPC@sicb.org.

This award is administered by the Broadening Participation Committee. The goal of this committee is to increase the diversity of SICB and the field of integrative biology at all career stages, in terms of gender, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, ability/disability, and socioeconomic background.
